THE TASTE OF MEXICO COMES TO CARDIFF
Masterchef winner’s restaurant opens on Thursday, November 13!
Wahaca, known for its fresh, honest Mexican street food, is coming St David’s Cardiff in the restaurant’s first venture outside London and the surrounding areas.
Established in 2007 by Thomasina Miers, the winner of Masterchef 2005 and his business partner Mark Selby, Wahaca was formed out of their love of Mexican market food, and has taken London by storm, winning numerous awards and accolades for the quality and price of the food, as well as being named one of the UK’s ‘coolest brands’.
St David’s centre director Steven Madeley commented: “We’re thrilled to be welcoming Wahaca to St David’s. The restaurant is going from strength to strength, and is a great opening to complement the already strong food offer that we have at the centre. This opening is one of a number of new brands that we have welcomed to St David’s recently recently including Clogau, Tiger and the new Primark store, which are continuing to place Cardiff as one of the UK’s leading retail and leisure destinations.”

The 5,600 sq ft, two floor restaurant will be situated on The Hayes, near Jamie’s Italian, John Lewis and Vivienne Westwood and will have an outdoor seating area.
