Stay in for Valentine's Day!

Valentine’s Day is around the corner so I thought I’d treat myself to some beautiful lounge wear ready for the occasion. I never need a reason to spoil myself, but February 14th is a great excuse.

If I’m honest, I normally wear oversized t-shirts and loose pyjamas to bed (the bigger the better!) because I love being comfortable. There’s nothing worse than wearing tight and restrictive clothing when you’re trying to relax!

However, when I spotted this gorgeous camisole and shorts set in Boux Avenue on a recent shopping trip to St David’s, I just had to try them on. They caught my eye as they were more stylish and less garish than traditional Valentine’s Day PJs.

Admittedly, they’re not my usual type of lounge wear but they made a refreshing change to baggy tops and jogger bottoms.

They’re surprisingly wearable too and more comfortable than I thought they’d be. I might be converted!

In chic black, the satin camisole and shorts set make a cute alternative to a chemise. In my opinion, they’re perfect if you want something a bit slinky but not OTT.

The cami top has delicate touches of floral embroidered sheer mesh and a subtle v-front, which isn't too low. Personally I don’t like showing cleavage so this top is ideal for me. In fact, I’d probably team it with a black lace bralet for extra coverage and pretty detail!

Meanwhile, the shorts have cute ribbon bows while the subtle stretch ensures a flawless fit. I’m really looking forward to throwing on the set on the weekend with a spritz of my favourite perfume and a bright red lip.

Hope you all have a lovely Valentine’s Day whatever your plans are!
