Exciting news for visitors to St David’s – a brand-new Hollywood Bowl XL entertainment centre is on its way, bringing bowling, arcade games, electric go-karting and great food to the heart of the city.
Work has officially begun on the multi-million-pound venue, which is set to open summer 2026 and will become one of the most exciting places for family entertainment in Cardiff.
Developed by Hollywood Bowl Group, the new venue will be the first Hollywood Bowl XL concept, combining several popular activities in one large entertainment destination.

What to Expect at Hollywood Bowl XL Cardiff
When it opens, Hollywood Bowl XL at St David’s will offer two floors of entertainment, perfect for family days out, group activities, parties and nights out in Cardiff.

The venue will offer everything from friendly bowling competitions to fast-paced karting races and classic arcade gaming, all in one place.

You’ll be able to challenge friends to bowling, race on electric karts, or try your luck on arcade favourites like Mario Kart Arcade GP.
When it’s time for a break, the diner will be serving American classics like burgers, hot dogs and shakes, along with drinks and cocktails.
