From free water refills to clothing take-back schemes and beauty recycling, there are plenty of ways to make your visit a little greener. Discover the initiatives happening right here in the centre – with our brands and our community – that make sustainable choices easier to reach than ever.
Recycling old clothes
Before you throw out your old clothes or worn-out shoes, consider bringing them to St David’s to give them a new lease of life – or even get a discount at your favourite store! Many of our brands run take-back, repair and resale schemes, such as Clarks’ ShoeShare or H&M’s clothing recycling boxes. Refill Me Scheme
As part of our ongoing sustainability efforts and in a bid to cut single-use plastic consumption, you can now fill up your water bottle for free at any St David's retailer displaying a ‘Refill Me’ sticker in its window, with zero obligation to make a purchase. Brands that currently offer this include Caffè Nero, Hotel Chocolat, Pret a Manger and many more. There’s also free water refill available at Hayes Arcade.
Electric vehicle charging
Driving electric? This is a great way to make your visit to St David’s a bit greener. Our car park has eight Pod Point charging bays on Level 5, making it easy to top up your car while you shop.
Too Good To Go
Download the Too Good To Go app and rescue surplus food from some of our food and beverage brands! You can tuck into your favourites for less or try something new for a fraction of the price, all while helping reduce the amount of food waste at St David’s.
Shopping sustainably
If you want to shop more sustainably at St David’s, head to our very own Ethical Boutique, a charity shop run by the SAFE foundation. They sell upcycled clothes and homeware to aid their work with marginalised people and communities around the world.
